The FAIN label, a homegrown, 100% South African brand has been around since 1986. Fain owns a manufacturing facility which employs up to 100 staff. The facility, Sports Access is a locally based (Port Elizabeth) sports and leisurewear manufacturer, producing the FAIN clothing label.
The FAIN label has over the years steadily gained recognition as a brand that provides products that are fresh and different. The target market is the young adolescent to the more mature sports enthusiast. The type of product being produced is very much part of today’s wear and move towards lighter, more comfortable clothing.

Miley’s passion for sports and entrepreneurship drove him to create something unique, and his hard work paid off with recognition and growth. The FAIN label’s evolution from one-off garments to a well-established brand is impressive.

Initial orders for FAIN were one off garments made for individuals and sporting clubs, etc. Over the years the demand for the product has increased and orders have been received from throughout South Africa, and the rest of the African continent. The growth in the label and the company resulted in Miley being awarded the National Emerging Entrepreneur award in 1989 by the South African Institute of Marketing.
He was then subsequently also selected to attend a United States Government sponsored business training program (USALEP) in the U.S.A. in 1992
Our Facilities
Fain operates from a multi-functional premises that includes: a full-service retail store for walk-in customers, a head office where ideas become plans, and our proudly South African factory, where we design, cut, print, stitch, pack, and ship everything in-house. We employ close to 100 staff, from skilled garment workers and graphic designers to logistics and customer service professionals, all working together to deliver reliable, quality apparel that stands out on and off the field.
